Google map api V3 with HTTPS not working

While using the Google Api forOrg chart generation I came across the error “‘google’ is undefined” when i was testing it in IE 8 browser. The same code was working fine in Mozilla FireFox . Google the error was not able to find solution. After lots of searching fixed it by doing a small one character change in the URL. Can you guys guess what would be that?

fg.menu.js conflicts with jquery.ui.autocomplete.js

The fg.menu and autocomplete both add .menu() to jQuery. I renamed the fg.menu to $.fn.fgmenu and they cooperate now.

It’s a quick change in the fg.menu.js. Change the line that reads ” $.fn.menu = function(options) { ” to ” $.fn.fgmenu = function(options) { “. And then to use the menu you call $().fgmenu().

Text truncated to 255 characters when reading from Excel with Jet 4.0 OLEDB

One of those MS vagaries: text from my Excel sheet was truncated to 255 characters. Seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/281517 for the reason. Apparently, the driver guesses the maximum length of a column by looking at the first 8 rows of the Excel sheet. The MS article tells how to change this number, but does not provide a workaround. My (ugly) workaround is: modify the Excel sheet by inserting an extra row at the top that contains more than 255 characters. A subsequent read will identify the column as bigger than 255 characters and read ALL text in the sheet.
